GSTC Criteria Consultation Process – Call to participate
Since January 2011, the GSTC International Standard Setting Working Group, led by Herve Houdre, has been working on revising the GSTC Criteria for hotels and tour operators. The comments and suggestions that have been collected since December 2008 are being used to update the Criteria.
A global consultation process is underway involving leading sustainable tourism experts and the travel and tourism industry. To date about 200 multi-sector, global stakeholders have provided comments which are currently being analyzed. A revised version of the GSTC Criteria will be published by mid 2011 and opened for 60 days for public comments at: www.gstcouncil.org/participate-gstc/criteria-feedback.html.
