Standards

What is a Guideline?

A standard or guideline is any document that aims to streamline particular processes according to a set routine. By definition, following a guideline is never mandatory (protocol would be a better term for a mandatory procedure). Guidelines are an essential part of the larger process of governance.

Standards or Guidelines may be issued by and used by any organization (governmental or private) to make the actions of its employees or divisions more predictable, and presumably of higher quality

Our standards have been collected from several sources including from the Global Sustainable Council and tailored to suit Tanzania.

How to use our standards:

All our standards are displayed on one page, the RTTZ standards page and then each topic area that has a set of standards, are provided with an overall description of the topic area (an example: Social Economic). Each topic area also has an accompanying page or toolkit that provides you with practical tips and ideas or ‘how to’s’ ( an example: Social economic toolkit ) to help you and your company use these standards.   To view the standards, please click here>
